Below are specific areas of care you will receive, when you hire me as your doula.

– Serving Western Suburbs & Neighborhoods of Chicago –

Pregnancy

  • 1 to 2 prenatal meetings
  • On-going phone & email support
  • Birth Plan support
  • Prenatal care recommendations, research assistance

Labor & Delivery

  • Join mother and partner once labor begins and support is needed, remaining with couple until baby is born
  • Continuous emotional and physical support, varying comfort measures as needed
  • Safe and knowledgeable advocate to process with, as needs evolve

Postpartum

  • Immediately after delivery, remain with mother & baby for 1-2 hours.
  • Photograph early moments together
  • Breastfeeding support
  • 1 home visit
  • Review your labor & birth experience, filling in detail where needed and reliving the joys of your journey
  • Postpartum care recommendations, research assistance

Your Total Investment = $1,200

Additional postpartum visits = $50/visit

As a doula, I do not:

  1. Perform clinical tasks, such as blood pressure, fetal heart checks, vaginal exams, and others. I am there to provide only physical comfort and emotional support.
  2. Make decisions for you. I will help you get the information necessary to make an informed decision. I will also remind you if there is a departure from your birth plan.
  3. Speak to the staff on your behalf. I will discuss your concerns with you and suggest options, but you or your partner will speak directly to the clinical staff.
